Dr. Armentha Chicas
My native country is Haiti, but at the age of 9, my family and I moved to the U.S. Although I am a true island girl at heart, I have called this great country home for a very long time. My family and I have lived in North Carolina since 2006. Here, I attended UNCC, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Afterwards, I moved to Washington, D.C. to attend Howard University College of Dentistry where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduating, I moved back to the Charlotte area, and became a member of the Oasis Dentistry team in September 2018. What I love the most about being a dentist is the bond I get to form with my patients. I love having the ability to educate in order to improve, not only one’s oral health, but overall quality of life. My ultimate goal is to make each patient’s experience and time with me as comfortable as possible. I consider it a success if I am able to ease a patient’s fears and to put a smile on his or her face. In my free time, I’m most likely spending time with my husband or family. I enjoy traveling abroad, eating out, playing tennis, and kickboxing (which I started more recently). Hope to meet you all soon!
